Alexei Gulenco
Age: Country of Birth: Country of Citizenship: Currently Residing In: Alexei Gulenco was born in Krasnodar, Russia. He began his piano studies at the age of six at the Rachmaninov Music Lyceum in Kishinev, Moldova. He is also a graduate of the Moldovan Academy of Music, Moscow State Conservatory, where he studied with Valery Kastelsky; and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Naum Grubert as his mentor. Currently, Mr. Gulenco is pursuing his DMA at the University of Maryland under the guidance of Larissa Dedova. He has won prizes at numerous piano competitions, including the International Rachmaninov Piano Competition in Moscow, International José Iturbi Piano Competition, International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Parma, Italy and Louisiana International Piano Competition. Mr. Gulenco has performed with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Moldovan State Philharmonic Orchestra, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Music Conservatory "A. Boito," Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Valencia and Rapides Symphony Orchestra. He has appeared as a recitalist in Russia, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Belarus, Latvia, Republic of Georgia, Romania, Italy, Spain, Andorra, Hungary, Moldova and the U.S. Mr. Gulenco's performances have been broadcast by TV and radio stations in Moldova, Russia, Hungary, Spain, the U.S. and the Netherlands.
