Vadimas Chaimovicius was born in Vilnus, Lithuania, and began studying piano at the Vilnus Balys Dvarionas Music School at the age of five, giving his debut performance with an orchestra just two years later. He won many awards while at the Vilnus School, including the Balys Dvarionas International Competition for Young Talents, Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte and the International F. Chopin Piano Competition, among others. In 1995, Professor Lev Natochenny invited Mr. Chaimovicius to continue his studies at the Frankfurt Conservatoire of Music, from which he graduated in 2001. He continued his post-doctoral study in 2003 with Eugen Indjic in Paris and Peter Roessel in Dresden. After receiving a postgraduate diploma with honors in Dresden in 2005, he continued as a master class student and part-time teacher at the Dresden Conservatory with Peter Roessel. Mr. Chaimovicius has given numerous concerts with the Lithuania Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Saulius Sondeckis, in Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria, Japan and Italy, among others. He also took part in many international music festivals, such as Meranofest, Verbier Festival and Academy, Dresden Music Festival and others. In addition, he has received both prizes and scholarships from several European foundations.
