Starting hourly rates depend on the position for which you are applying, as well as any previous related experience. Jobs are offered year-round unless otherwise noted. The fluid nature of the performing arts lets us offer very flexible scheduling. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are available depending on the position. Some jobs offer when-available calls that do not require you to commit to working hours in advance. You must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate student to apply for a position.

Event Services Crew
Supervisor: Event Coordinator, Student SupervisorAvailability: Daily and when-available calls. Hours based upon event schedules.
Job Description: Event Services Crew members will be part of the team that plans and executes events at CSPAC. They will set up the event, serve as the shift crew for the event, and take the show down when it is finished. They will work under the supervision of an Event Coordinator or a Stage Manager to ensure the smooth running of events that range from simple lectures and recitals to complex international performing arts showcases.
Qualifications (Skills needed and requested):
- Be able to follow technical instructions.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work more than 8 feet above the ground is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic stage practices and operations is a plus.

Ticket Office Representative
Supervisor: Assistant Ticketing Services ManagerAvailability: Daytime, weekend, and evening hours. Weekend and evening availability is required.
Job Description: Ticket Office representatives are responsible for the processing of ticket orders both over the phone and at the window. Representatives provide thorough information about performances and ticket prices to our patrons. In addition, ticket office employees will maintain the mailing list on the computer database. Certain office tasks such as filing, maintaining office organization, and computer related projects will be assigned to the ticket office representative as needed. Superior customer service skills are a must.
Qualifications (Skills needed and requested):
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Be available to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Computer skills are a plus.

Graduate Assistant
Scheduling Office (Academic Year 2008-2009)General Description: Provide Clerical And Logistical Support For The Scheduling Office At The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
Responsibilities:
- Answer rental inquiries for the use of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
- Manage process of scheduling all school of music student degree recitals in Gildenhorn Recital Hall.
- Manage all recital cancellations and changes, and distribute confirmations to recitalists and departments.
- Process other space request forms for internal and external customers.
- Assist facilities scheduler in maintaining and updating scheduling database, recital manual, and forms.
- Maintain accurate files and records.
- Coordinate with other center staff as appropriate.
- Serve as a member of the center's finance and administration staff.
- Assume other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter, be able to work independently.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and work with scheduling database.
Terms of Employment: Services may be required during the entire period of your appointment, with the exception of the following University holidays: Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Thanksgiving break; Christmas break week; New Year's Day; Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday; spring break, and Memorial Day. Duties will require a weekly time commitment of 20 hours per week. The Graduate Assistant's schedule will be based on school schedule needs and those of the Center, and will be negotiated at the beginning of the semester. Fringe benefits of this appointment include remission of 10 credits of tuition and participation in the Employees' Health Insurance program. 9-1/2 month Graduate Assistants follow the University payroll schedule for permanent employees. Graduate Assistant
Publications Assistant (Academic Year 2008-2009)General Description: Provide layout, design, print production management and office assistant services for the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center's Publications Office.
Responsibilities: The Publications Office at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center is responsible for producing printed and electronic marketing materials for the Center. The primary responsibility of the Publications Assistant is to manage publication production for printed weekly programs and student recital programs. This includes design, layout, typesetting, and overseeing production and delivery of these projects according the set production schedules. The Publications Assistant will organize, create and manage the production and design schedule for the season, and assist the Creative Services Manager in other projects. These projects include designing and overseeing production of various other printed media, including postcards, brochures, invitations, posters and flyers; and updating the Publications Office website using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Assistant will also help with general office organization and administrative duties, such as helping to maintain our image archives and ordering supplies.
Qualifications: The candidate must have hands-on experience in the preparation of printed media using Adobe InDesign. Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator experience required. Dreamweaver software knowledge a definite plus. Applicants without these technical qualifications need not apply. Portfolio review is part of the interview process.
A demonstrated ability for design, layout & typesetting is mandatory; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.
