UM School of Music: UMSO - Spirit Nights

UM Symphony Orchestra
James Ross, music director

Sibelius’s rarely performed Fourth Symphony sits at the nihilistic core of this program, with works that help anchor the dark masterpiece -- Richard Wagner's Prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Maurice Ravel's Suite from Ma Mére l'Oye and Arturo Márquez's Danzon no. 2.

Program order:

Sibelius: Fourth Symphony
Ravel: Suite from Ma Mére l'Oye
Márquez: Danzon no. 2

Estimated Runtime: 2 hours 30 minutes including intermission

Free engagement event:
